IVT – INTRAVITREAL INJECTION

A relatively new technique, intravitreal injection (IVT) is indicated in the treatment of certain retinal pathologies and retinal diseases linked to AMD (age-related macular degeneration), diabetes or strokes.

This treatment consists in the ophthalmologist injecting a pharmacological product into the eye. The injection is performed under local anaesthesia, under regulatory aseptic conditions, in a fully dedicated treatment room, with all the comforts necessary for caregivers and the patient.

The intervention is quick and painless (lasting just a few minutes) with very little inconvenience afterwards.

It can be done on the day of the consultation or during a separate consultation.
